'P.O.S.H - Port Out Starboard Home' is a striking quilt inspired by the luxury of travel on ocean liners from Britain to India. Supposedly the best cabins, out of the afternoon sun, were on the port side going out and starboard on the way home and tickets were stamped P.O.S.H. It features mariner's compasses constructed using foundation piecing.
The A5 paper pattern includes full-size mariner's compass templates, colour illustrations and photographs so with some quilting experience you will be able to recreate this beautiful quilt.
The full requirements to make the quilt are:
* 3 3/4 yards Forest - Tokyo (16943-13)
* 1 1/4 yards Forest - Paris (16943-17)
* 2 yards City - Vienna (16942-17)
* 3 1/4 yards Boundary - London (16946-19)
* 5 1/4 yards fabric for backing City- Tokyo London (16942-12)
* 2/3 yard fabric for binding Forest - Paris (16943-17)
* Quilting thread, neutral thread for piecing
* Wadding
The finished quilt measures 71 x 85 inches.
